About Lille & Snille

Lille & Snille is a small, norwegian kids Label.

Here you’ll find unique pieces for your little ones, made with only the finest fabrics and designed to make them comfortable, well dressed and look absolutely gorgeous!

I am Heidi, mum of two and founder of Lille & Snille.

It was founded it in 2021 after my family and I had moved from Germany to Norway. Here, I design and sew timeless, high quality baby and kids clothing.

I’ve been sewing since I was old enough to reach the pedal of my first sewing machine. Basically for myself only, taking the leftover fabrics from my mothers sewing projects. In 2014 I started my first baby clothing label in Germany, when I had just become mother of world’s cutest little baby boy.

I am very concerned with high quality in clothes and practical, timeless designs that will fit the little ones several years. My fabrics are selected very carefully and I only use high quality, non toxic, natural materials.

All my fabrics are Oekotex 100 or GOTS certified (Global Organic Textile Standard) and produced in the EU. They are perfect for the sensitive skin of babys and kids.

Everything is designed and produced in my little studio in Oslo, Norway.

About the fabrics

Virgin wool

Virgin wool is a real treat! It’s a natural product and because it contains wool wax (Lanolin), it is water and dirt repellent. The best choice especially for your little ones and a perfect protection against cold and heat.

Merino wool

Merino wool is an especially fine and soft wool fibre, grown by the merino sheep. It feels very comfortable on the skin and absorbs the moisture without feeling damp. For sensitive or atopic skin this type of wool is especially recommended. We use only use high quality merino wool that is naturally mulesing free. Of course the merino wool is also Oeketex 100 certified and contains no harmful substances. All our merino wool is also RWS certified (Responsible Wool Standard).

Boiled wool

Boiled wool is a natural product made from 100% virgin wool. Through the boiling process the wool fabric becomes tighter and very dense. Boiled wool is therefore warmer, more durable and water and wind repellent. The boiled wool is carefully sourced from european wool producers in Italy and Austria. It’s high quality fabric and of course Oekotex 100 certified and the best choice for your little one.

Care

Natural wool contains Lanolin (wool wax), which gives it antibacterial qualities. Virgin wool fabrics do not need to be cleaned very often. The lanolin prevents it from smelling and keeps it clean. Rough dirt can be removed with a damp cloth when dried. You should also air the product every now and then. If you really need to wash it please use handwash with cold water and wool detergent and dry flat.

Linen

Linen is a very strong, absorbent and quick drying fabric. It’s made from the fibers of the flax plant and 100 % natural. Especially in summer linen clothes keep your little ones cool and fresh. But through its temperature regulating properties it’s great to wear all year round, even in winter times.

Organic cotton

The organic cotton fabrics I use, like jersey, sweat, cotton fleece or jeans are all produced in Europe and chosen carefully to match very high standards. They are produced within the highest standards (Global Organic Textile Standard – GOTS).
